With only 12 weeks left of my first pregnancy, I took time this year to give thanks for the miracle of life... Every morning when I wake, or each evening when I lay down to sleep, I feel his little body moving around... a kick here, a turn there... Every day of this pregnancy is an absolute gift.
At 28 weeks, my belly is still growing just like it's supposed to. No complaints, just enjoying every minute of it.
Yesterday, we celebrated Thanksgiving with friends and family. With a nice group of 10, we carved the turkey an hour later than planned, due to an unexpected power outage an hour before dinner was to be served! We took no chances, and loaded up the uncooked sweet potatoes, green rice and stuffing and headed to Arnt's work, the control tower at the
airport, to use their kitchen/oven. Two of our guests and their little one
met us there, to also help finish up the meal for the evening. It wasn't quite what we had planned for the evening, but it turned out nice, and two of our guests got a little bonus - a tour of the control tower while we waited for our dishes to cook. :D Everything turned out delicious and we stuffed ourselves until we almost burst. It was just as it should be. With two guests from Northern Norway, two from Oslo, two from Trondheim, and two from Frosta, we made up a cozy group of Norwegians and Americans - and celebrated a warm Thanksgiving, with lots of good food, and drink. Wouldn't change a thing.

We can't wait to see everyone, meet our new nephew, and just to see a bit of Kansas City Christmas.
It's beginning to 'feel' a lot like Christmas! Even though it doesn't really 'look' like it yet! (Yes, it IS the Artic North, but we still have green grass, and temperatures in the 50s...)Love, Aimee
