Then it was back to Stjørdal, where we had 3 weeks to pack up the house and get ready for the moving truck. I packed the house while Eirik was in preschool during the day, and Arnt worked on packing up his garage.
About a week before moving day, we had a little moving party, and we had a few friends stop by for coffee and fingerfoods. Our dear neighbors, some of the ones in Stjørdal we'll miss the most, arranged a little jazz entertainment in the yard for our guests. It was a memorable day, I was so touched.
The day finally arrived, August 9th, and the moving truck came, loaded everything (and I mean they filled the truck to the brim, and hadn't even touched the attic or the garage so we had to order a new truck that would come at a later time, and deliver to us within a week or so). We tied up all loose ends and by 6pm we were on the road from Stjørdal to Bodø, a trip which took us about 12 hours (with a stop in Mo i Rana when the wheel decided to fly off the trailer we were hauling into a dark ditch and dissappear). After parking the trailer on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere at 2am, we headed off to Fauske, we're we got 3 hours of sleep, before heading to the new house to meet the moving truck. Arnt and his dad made a road trip back to Mo to pick up the trailer at the end of the week.

Arnt had 3 weeks of vacation after we moved in, so we got everything in it's place, finished up small projects, bought new furniture for our living room and dining room, went to Nordlandsbadet with Eirik a few times, got Eirik started in his new preschool, Lille Frøbel, went to the Aviation Museum of Norway which is located here in Bodø, and did some hiking in the fantastic nature up here.
On labor day weekend, we flew to Trondheim to be a part of Adrian's baptism - Eirik's cousin. This marks Eirik's 33rd and 34th airplane flight. A well-traveled, well-behaved little passenger. When we got off the plane, he followed me out, and stopped to say to the flight attendants before he got off "Tusen takk for turen" or "Thanks for the trip!" and waved and smiled. What a sweetie! :)
Otherwise, I'm just at home now getting ready for the little one who'll be making her appearance in a few weeks. Definitely feeling the nesting instincts, and feeling the pregnant-lady hormones that make you burst into tears for no reason. Enjoying life, no less... hope everyone back home in KC is doing well, and enjoying the first few weeks of fall... We've had beautiful weather here, 60s and 70s, which make for a fantastic fall here.
