My Heroes!

I just had to post a link for everyone to see - I'm so proud of my best friends back home in KC. Amanda and Eric have a daughter, Aspen, who has Leukemia. Eric wrote in to Jenny Jones' Jenny's heros website, and won Children's Mercy hospital $25,000 worth of new toys and computers for the cancer floor. Here's a link, please check it out!

Here's Amanda's post on Aspen's CaringBridge blog:

HUGE NEWS TODAY!!!!!!!!! A couple of months ago, Eric heard on 98.9 that Jenny Jones was giving away 1 million dollars of her own money in $25,000 increments to commmunity groups to help in whatever they need. This money cannot be given to individuals, but to groups that will effect lots of people. We found out today that because Eric wrote in on behalf of Childrens Mercy Hemotology and Oncology Child Life department, they will be recieving $25,000 worth of new toys, video games, lap tops and a multitude of other items that will benefit everyone in our department. WOOOOHHOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! To see the whole story go to http://www.jennysheroes.com/. Congratulations Child Life. I can't wait to see what we get on 4Henson and in the Hem/Onc clinic!!!!!
